17. Glitter

Oh glitter, glitter and more of the f******* glitter!

I layered anything glittery and holo-looking polish I found - most important fine glitters topped with chunky ones - a look I sometimes really really love!

I guess every girl has some days where she needs not just some bling but a ton of!

You see one coat of Can't Cheat On Me, two coats of Hello Holo Topper and two coats of Julia.

As you may guess - I waited kind of eternal time for the mani to dry! - But if the sun shines on it - everything was forgotten ;)

16. Tribal Print

To be honest I was not happy when I noticed that it is my turn on tribal print nails.
So this is my result - which I am not really proud of - but I hate the tribal print style. So this mani was really just done for taking the pictures.

The flormar polish is really lovely with nice holo-shimmer, but needs 3 coats to be opaque. But it applies nice and smoothly and is a quite durable polish. I guess I will get more polishes from this brand in the near future :)

15. Delicate Print

For this nailart design I applied two coats of Absolutely Chinchilly! and for the stamping I used Mellow Yellow.

Quite an easy design for lazy days ;)

14. Flowers

For this I used the only stamping plate with flowers I own atm. But I didn't want a girlie-normal-flower-mani (I hate really hate these typical flower nail designs) so I decided to use the dark green OPI Suede polish (I guess everyone has seen/read about it, so there is not much to add) and black stamping polish for the flowers. This combination made it possible for me to like flower nails ;)

After stamping I decided to use a shiny top coat as it looked much nicer. And also it made it more durable, as the suede polish shows cracks after one minute without top coat.

13. Animal Print

This is quite an old manicure, because I don't wear animal printed nails that much anymore.

I used a yellow polish as a base - and I have absolutely no idea which one it was - so take any yellow polish you have, then I created radient nails with a golden polish and an orange one - both shimmery and by basic - for the tiger stripes I used a Nailart Polish.

12. Stripes

This is a relly holo-flash-mani. I used nearly all my polishes which do have a holoshimmer (because I got the famous Aldi-Flieder-Holo-Lack today from a very nice LHN-User from Germany)

I used Scotch-Tape for the dark purple stripes, then decided it needs more stripes - so I did the silver ones free hand.
Unfortunately there is no sun atm, so I can only post artificial light pics, which do not show the great effect, but just imagine them with great holo shimmer, ok? :)

All polishes are nearly opaque by one thicker coat which I really love and which is nice for fooling around like I did with mani, which is actually not really my style but sometimes I like strange fun-designs :)

11. Polka Dots

I´m an absolut freak about polka dots on my mani - so I was quite lucky to get this theme.

Absolutely clueless about the colors I should use - lovely Stephee showed me a very very bad online shop with shoes, where I found a shoe I would kill for and with it the inspiration for the choice of colors.

I used 3 coats of Lemonade Stand By Your Man and applied the dots with a dotting tool - the polish I used is Claire's Cosmetics Nailpolish # E 19.

As I am in quite a bling mood I decided to apply a rhinestone on each finger - alternating pink and lilac ones.

10. Gradient Nails

For this mani I used my red p2-polishes - be aware that these are pre-new-range, so they might have a different name now or - which sometimes also happens - same name but now different colors :)

On my tips I used some red glitter polish, which I should replace beacause it got really sticky and as it is old and does no longer apply well.

I really do love gradient nails, but most of the time I am to lazy to put out my sponge ... will do it more often in the future :)

Funny solution

Hey Betches!

Yesterday I read about Alverde's "Matroschka meets Beauty" LE - and today I found myself inspired by the theme and finally found a solution for a long termed problem!

The Problem:

As I live with two adorable, gorgeous but crazy cats I always feared the death of my make-up brushes, because they're standing on my desk. Of course - I could put them away over night when I can't protect them from attacks from behind - BUT call me a crazy person - I can't, I need the feeling that everything I need is waiting for me in the morning in it's place to make me prettier than I am already ;)

The Solution:

As I found my old Matroschka, while searching a lightener in the cupboards ( Yeh, as I'm a desperate smoking person that never has a working lightener I'm searching for them all over the place - even in cupboards and closets ).
I absolutely forgot about it, but as I saw it I didn't want to put it back and in this moment the LE jumped in my mind and I tried if the brushes would fit and won't get hurt if i close the dolls.

Everything went fine - and now I can lock the brushes over night or if I'm not at home - knowing that they're save and they're still standing in place waiting for me to make myself prettier!

A little explanation

Hey betches !

At the moment, as you recognized, I'm just posting for the 31 day nail art challenge. I'd love to make everything a little more personal, but I don't find the time for reviews, haul posts, comparisons, etc... There are so many ideas in my glittery pink pocket book, that have to wait until I get round to them.

The next huge problem is that as I told you my laptop is kind of dead and needs to be returned to the seller, what's going to last at least two weeks, so I'm quite naked at the moment if it comes to pictures. I use my man's iMac, and I'm absolutely not compatible with Apple, so I lack of fun uploading pics, because I need an hour to find them again and apply them to my posts.

Hopefully you all have fun with the challenge I'm participating with Yvonne and enjoy the designs we're coming up with

While I don't do that much for the blog, I'm planning a lot that I want to do:

Comparison of 3 pairs of nail polishes, review on the Essence You Rock Eyeshadow Base, review on Artdeco Blushes #11 and # 31, NotDs and I have bunch of FotDs on my SD-Card I'd love to show you!

As I'm working on a completely new wardrobe, to get over band shirts and army pants ( I guess 10 years of wearing this style is enough - it's time to grow up ;) ), I want to know if you're interested in some Outfit of the Day posts.

9. Rainbow Nails

Day 9 with rainbow nails

For this manicure I used the nailart-polishes you can order on ebay and pay a dollar/euro per polish - and you just can buy them in sets of I think minimum 30 pieces.
As basecolor I applied a very light pink polish, then with the nailartpolishes the rainbow-ish design. That time I felt like overdoing everything so I added a row of rhinestones on each nail a different color - aaand a little pink flower. Topcoat in the end and you're finished!

8. Metallic Nails

2 coats s-he 429 (which I think was discontinued after the introduction of the new design), great color, super-opaque, toped by one coat crackling top coat. I am not a big crackling fan, but this silver one is really great and shows a nice effect.
(finally my broken index nail grew out and could be cut off)

7. Black & White

Day 7 - it's again my turn
and I present a Black&White Nailart Design

I used the polishes of the Essence LE Black&White - many didn't like the polishes because they're quite thick - BUT for this design the consistence was perfect!

I applied one coat of the black polish (any black polish will work) - let it dry - take the white polish and with very few product on the brush slightly go over the nail - to create a look like the you ran out of color.

I personally think this looks better mattified so if you do not use already matt polishes apply a matt topcoat and you're done!

6. Violet Nails

Easiest and favorite day, as the biggest part of my nail polish collection consists of violet, purple and lilac polishes.
So I decided to keep it simple with one of my most loved purples: sinful colors “daddys girl” (written like this without apostrophe)
It is a jelly and you need 3 thicker coats to be nearly opaque. But then the result is absolutely stunning. It hast small subtle glitter in it and is the perfect balance between red-ish and blue-ish purple. (the daylight-pics are a little to blue-ish, but the one with artificial light is closer to the true color) <3

5. Blue Nails

I almost lost control over my nice and ladylike words - because I was hardly able to catch the blue as it really looks or at least a picture that shows the right family of blues - but no.

I've to say I would buy the blue - if the one that shows up on the pic but in daylight it's an awesome blue with a turquoise greenish touch.

This is Essence's - Color and Go - Let's get lost - I used 1 coat Ultra Strong Nail Hardener, 1 coat Let's get lost ( absolutely opaque in one coat ) and 1 coat of  Seche Vite Topcoat.

4. Green Nails

This is a re-do of my Halloween-mani.
And yes, it glows in the dark (the light green part) :D
1 coat “viva la green”, 1 coat “ zom-body to love “ (glows in the dark), on this I used “envy me” to do the pattern, sealed it with essie “good to go” and 1 coat inm “northern lights – silver”.
(still index nail problems )

My personal horror...

Hey Betches!

I've quite bad news - mainly for me...my laptop died today. I don't know if he can be reanimated. I really really hope that there is something that can be done.
This means for the blog - for the next 7 days I've prewritten the posts for the 31 day nailart challenge - if the problem isn't solved to this moment I'm gonna lay down on the floor and start crying.
All of my pictures for the next weeks are locked and I can't save them at the moment...

I'm trying to fix this asap and try to upload the posts for the next few days and keep you in touch.

Wish me luck, or better wish my baby luck...

xoxo Anna

3. Yellow Nails

Quite simple and short post - I visited the Vienna Beauty Flea Market and found a looot of nice polishes - including this beautiful yellow or limegreen polish by Kleancolor called "Holo Yellow".
I'm in love because to me it hase more of a very yellowish limegreen - but as the sign says it's yellow I'm happily using it!
It depends on the light if it's yellow or a light limegreen.

I applied my basecoat, 3 thin layers of Holo Yellow and 1 coat of Seche Vite

Isn't it absolultely gorgeous?

[Tasty] Cauliflower broccoli small loafs

Good morning Betches!

As I was absolutely no-meat mooded yesterday I found cauliflower broccoli loafs at Spar - I combined them with a baby spinach salad with balsamico dressing.
Absolutely yummy!

xoxo Anna

2. Orange Nails

2 coats P2 “flamboyant” and two coats Nubar “2010”.
I love the color, it is a real “Halloween-Orange” and it is opaque by two coats (which is quite good for an orange polish, as I do have really problems with all my other oranges)
(The nail of my index finger looks little weird because it has a crack I needed to clue because it is in the nail bed and cannot be cut off)

xoxo Yvonne
