[NOTD] Pink Leopard

Hello Betches!

A few days ago I saw a nailart design - a leopard nailartdesign - and I thought by myself - why the hell I've never tried a manicure light this, and just did tiger or zebra prints instead? The answer to myself - I've absolutely no idea. It's that easy and looks that awesome, that I bet I'm gonna wear this type of manicure for the next few days with  various color combination - because I love it!

I used for this design three shades of pink - French Affair and Chastity by Essie and Bombshell by Australis. The only thing you need for it except the polish - a dotting tool with a fine tip.

I painted my nails with two coats of the lightest pink polish, let it dry and then applied a bunch of random several sized and shaped dots with the mid shade and the dotting tool. Again - let it dry and then I started to surround the dots with the darkest pink shade - added topcoat and done. I guess anybody could do this with a very little bit of practice and rock this design!!

[Review] Nail-Venturous - Floam

Hellooo Betches!

Thanks to lovely Beth - I really own Floam - I got it as a birthday present and I couldn't have been happier!!! I was looking for this all around, waited for emails if it's in stock again and was never lucky enough the get one - so imagine my face when she gave it to me :D

It's a frankenpolish by Nail-Venturous - a clear base with tons of matte tiny green and blue glitters in it. It looks just fantastic. It's no problem to reach opacity with three coats of it - I prefer to apply a green or blue polish underneath and just one layer of floam. For the pictures I used N14 by Flormar, an awesome neon green I showed you here

Now beware of the picture pverload - but I wasn't able to post less :P It's just too awesome!!

Please click the pics to enlarge them and see it's beauty in full size - you won't see the awesome effect as well on the small pictures!

Are you as stunned as I am? I just love it!!

[FOTD] Warm Summer Look

Hello Betches!

It has been weeks since my last FOTD, but I'm not that inspired at the moment, to do something special or experiment with colors and products, I basically wear every day the same - nude e/s, brown eyeliner, mascara and some fancy lipstick.

But today after reorganizing my vanity, I wanted to do something a little more colorful. This is what I came up with.

Products I used:

FACE:

Catrice - Infinite Matte
Bourjois Paris - Poudre Libre
KIKO - Blush 103

EYES:

NYX - Jumbo Eye Pencils in Rust and Velvet Purple
Sleek - Original Palette - purple and copper e/s
Essence - eyeliner in 08 teddy
Essence - 2in1 Volume Mascara
Look - Brow Gel

LIPS:

Catrice - Juicy

[Frankenpolish] Pink Bubbles

Hello Betches!

Last but not least my favourite frankenpolish of the last session - Pink Bubbles. It was thought as a clear base with pink, white and silver glitters - but for a reason the glitters bleeded and stained the base and made it a very nice jelly pink - the glitters did not loose all of their color, they just turned very fair - and look like pink soap bubbles.

On the picture below I applied one coat of Pink Bubbles on top of Essie's French Affair, and I've to say I love the result - I also tried it on a black base, with makes obviously the pink base disappear but the glitters show up very pastell and gorgeous. (Sadly I lost the pic :( need to redo it and show you! )

[Frankenpolish] Blue Holo

Hello Betches!

Day three of introducing some of my frankenpolishes - today with the very creative named "Blue Holo" sry for that one - maybe someone of you has something better fitting in mind :)

As the name says it's a blue polish with a bunch of holographic glitters in it - it's a beautiful polish for winter I think.

[Frankenpolish] A friend of mine

Hey Betches!

Day two of my frankenposts - today with a golden glitterbomb - B. named it "A Friend Of Mine" - so that's the name I'll stick with :)

I used again a clear base literally a ton of small round golden glitters and some turquoise and pink glitters. Sadly it doesn't come out that beautiful with the flashlight, but when I took the pictures it was 11 pm and no sunlight in sight - but I will try not to forget to take one in sunlight to show the awesome sparkle of it!!

[Frankenpolish] Violent Violet

Hello Betches!

The next four days I got some frankenpolishes I made for you - the first one I called Violent Violet - it happend to be violet by mistake, but the end result is stunning.

I used a clear base and a bunch of pink and blue glitters - that bleeded like hell and created this absolutely beautiful violet basecolor. First i was quite frightened that it would stain my nails as hell, but after a deep take of breath and I decided to try it on my nails. I used as usual my essence Ultra Strong Nail Hardener and a pink polish as a base - and this is the result. I vibrant violet with a bunch of glitters in it.

[Review] Essie - Cute As A Button

Hello Betches!

A few weeks ago you got 3 products for the price of 2 at Bipa drugstores - no question I had to get some Essie polishes - the first one I want to introduce to you is "Cute as a button". It costs €9,95 and you can purchase Essie polishes at Bipa, dm and Müller - nothing new to you I guess ;)

Cute as a button is a beautiful coral-pink color with a creme finish - I applied two coats and was satisfied with the opacity - it applies very smooth and I really like the new Essie brushes (I own some with the old and tiny brush - not compareable) because I need to strokes to cover my entire nail.

[Review] Illamasqua - Lament

Hey Betches!

Today I've got Illamasqua's Lament for you - I got at the Beauty Flea Market as well, and didn't pay that much for it, but don't remember the actual price anymore. In Vienna you can purchase Illamasqua nailvarnish at Nina Peter and you pay € 15 for one bottle.

Lament is a stunning coral-pink with orange undertones - it has a creme finish and I reached with two normal coats and opaque result. I love the color, because it's so f***ing bright - it really pops on you nails.

[Review] Essie - French Affair

Hello Betches!

One of my favourite polishes for the last few weeks - French Affair - I got it at the Beauty Flea Market and since then I'm truly in love with it!

It's a pastell pink polish, creme finish, that is opaque in two thin coats. Although it has the old brush and applies very streaky in the first coat I can't stop wearing it. If you remember I showed you a nailart design *here* and I'm wearing it today as well as a part of a pink ombre manicure.

It was a part of the Essie Spring Collection 2011, so it's sadly not available anymore, nevertheless I wasn't able not showing it to you!

Playing with colors #13

Hello Betches!

Everything started with the thought of creating a decent cut crease  with browns and white and ended up as almost some kind of drag look. Nevertheless I like how the eyes and brows look combined and I can imagine to wear something like this for a night out - maybe without the red liptstick and too much blush.

[Review] P2 - Summer Colors

Hello Betches!

Once again I couldn't resist getting some more nailpolish - this was my main distraction for the last weeks and month - no time for getting more make-up or even make myself up - so the only thing left is - NAILPOLISH!!!

I was looking for a limited edition when I visitied the Palmers store at Westbahnhof - there was none, and I wasn't able to walk out without taking these three beauties with me. Just summer in bottles.

I paid about € 2 if I remember right, you get 8 ml for.

I got summer to go!, notice me! and passion - I just love how they look standing next to each other freaaak .

First one - summer to go! is a nice cool yellow creme polish - it's has not an orange undertone which I absolutely love about it - it's just a perfect yellow - at least to me ;) I used two thick coats to reach the opaque result you see -  but I would recommend to go for three thin ones, it would look better I guess.

notice me! is a solid orange cream polish - nothing special about it - and that's exactly what I like so much at the moment - just simple cream colors - no special shades or undertones, no shimmers, no glitters. Opaque in two normal coats.

passion - what should I say - a beautiful redish pink creme polish - opaque in two thin coats. The first looks quite streaky but with a second one everything evens out and you get a nice and smooth surface. I think this color is it for the summer - each brand has a polish in this color range - so you can't go wrong with it!

[Review] A Beautiful Life - Vette

 Hello Betches!!

Anna and Eva from The Twist were so kind to send me one of the new nailpolishes they have in stock now at the twist shop - the brand is called A Beautiful Life - and the color I got is the gorgeous "Vette".  You get 12,6ml for 16 CHF/ € 13.

So coming to the nail lacquer itself - it's a beautiful light blue color - with some minty tones depending on the angle you're looking on it.

You see one (!) coat on the picture below - I think it's just amazing, it's highly opaque and applies so smooth and easy, without any streaks or uneven spots. I'm truly in love with this polish. I definitely will order some other shades as well, to see if the brand itself is that awesome or just "Vette".

[Review] Glitter Gal - Flawless Pink

Hello Betches!

For the next two weeks I got a bunch of nailpolish I wanted to show you - and I'll start with GlitterGal's awesome "Flawless Pink". I got this one at the Beauty Flea Market and paid about 3€ for it.

It's a linear holographic nailpolish - the first "real" one I own :) I was kind of stunned when I applied it. I used two thin coats to reach the result you see on the pictures below. Isn't it absolutely gorgeous?

[Review] Flormar - Neon Trio

Hello Betches!!

A few weeks ago I visited the Flormar counter at the Donauzentrum and as usual I couldn't resist getting some nailpolish. The funny thing about the brand is - the make up, blushes, e/s, glosses and so on - absolutely never caught my eye. To me is Flormar just awesome nailpolish :)

So I got 3 of the Super Neon  Colors - paid € 2,90 each - what is compared to the prices for the other stuff kind of cheap. To be honest with about € 3 for a nailpolish you can't do that much wrong and you get a decent amount of 11 ml.

The colors I bought are "named" N006 - which is the yellow one, N008 which is the pink one and last but not least N14 - the green one.

You see two thick coats - the polish itself has a jelly texture and is a bit thick, which makes the application not the easiest - you probably could use a third to reach opacity, but I would recommend applying it on top of a layer of white polish - this is the time when it really pops.

For the pink one I used just one coat - I don't feel that comfortable with it - so if I would have worn it that day I would have applied a second one too, but I wanted to show you that you won't need it. It's a opaque in one normal coat and really really pops. The consistency is not normal with a hint of thickness and it's a creme polish -  a cold blue toned neon pink which is perfect for statement nails.

Now coming to the neon green, on the picture it looks quite neon, but my problem with it is the fact that without flashlight this polish is just a green jelly-ish unspectacular color. For the picture I applied to coats - again as the yellow polish it's quite thick, but opaque in two coats. I found the perfect use for this one - you' ll see the next days ;)

xoxo Anna

Good Bye to the old Color&Go polishes!

 Hey Betches!

As most of you may know - essence renewed the complete color&go nailpolish range - the new range will be available in august already found them at müller. That's why I wanted to pay the ones of the old sortiment some attention and say good buy to some of them, that are almost empty and not coming back.

I got over the years quite a lot of them, because I liked the formula, the price, the colors and the resistence of them. Until today there are exactly 30 of them left and I wanted to show them to you - maybe you can still get some of them in sale.

Starting from left to right in the first row upside:

63 think pink - as the name says a fuchsia pink creme polish
? label gone - babypink creme polish

95 wanna be your sunshine - light yellow with a subtle shimmer
51 mellow yellow - classic pastell yellow - love it!
02 white secret - jelly white, no idea why I got it
43 where is the party - duochrome polish changing from purple to dark green
41 very berry - it's not that berry, more of a lavenderish pink tone quite nice
27 no more drama - pastell lilac polish
04 space queen - clear base with orange, green and blue glitters - this one will be in the new range
91 glamourous life - dupe for OPI's MeepMeepMeep - review *here*

50 irreplaceable - please get this one! it's freakin' awesome! taupe base with tons of golden flecks in it - it is in fact irreplaceable!
39 lime up! - limegreen polish - but there's a new shade coming to the new range
38 choose me! - one love again - dark greenish blue with a bunch of green and blue flecks
54 trust in fashion - solid blue toned dark green
003 stamp me silver - hell of a silver polish - I don't use it for stamping but for my entire nail - love!
94 gold fever - review *here* this one is part of the new range as well
67 make it golden - a gorgeous glittter topper - with a lot of big and small golden glitters in a golden dusted base
72 time for romance - burgundy an tiny holo glitters in a jelly burgundy base
45 date with the night - shimmery cool toned dark brown
33 just in case - shimmery bronze polish

and I found one more in a drawer that is not on the picture - but reviewed

and a swatches of all of them:

Over all I'll miss one or two shades, but am quite excited to get some of the new ones, I think some change in this place is quite good. At least to me, over the last few years there were just a few new shades so I'm very happy to find something new besides Limited Editions in drugstore brands.

Are you going to miss some of the old colors? Or are you as myself just excited for some new stuff?
